We are seeking an experienced ETL Developer with strong expertise in IBM InfoSphere DataStage to join our data team. In this role, you'll play a key part in designing and developing robust ETL solutions that drive our data integration and transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement ETL solutions using IBM InfoSphere DataStage (v11.x or higher).
- Collaborate with the Platforms Manager to translate business requirements into technical specifications and data mappings.
- Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading from various sources (e.g., flat files, databases, cloud).
- Optimize and tune DataStage jobs for performance and scalability.
- Ensure data integrity and quality through close collaboration with architects and stakeholders.
- Conduct unit and integration testing of ETL components.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Adhere to data governance and security policies.
Skills & Experience Required:
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with IBM InfoSphere DataStage.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (e.g., DB2, Oracle, SQL Server).
- Scripting knowledge (e.g., Unix Shell, Python) for automation and job control.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and data modeling (star/snowflake schemas).
- Exposure to Agile or DevOps environments is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
