FIFO EUC Technician

  • Initial 6 months contract with a global mining client
  • FIFO Roster is 8 days on 6 days off
  • Experience Level 2, Level 3 Desktop Support within mining exposure

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Site Support Technician to oversee IT service delivery across a dynamic mining environment. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage on-site IT support operations, ensuring high service quality and availability
  • Deliver end-to-end IT infrastructure support across data centres, communication rooms, access control, HVAC/UPS, and related systems
  • Support and troubleshoot radio communication devices and large-scale WiFi networks
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors and ensure SLA compliance
  • Execute IT infrastructure projects and support initiatives in line with operational requirements
  • Maintain monitoring systems, service metrics, and incident resolution workflows
  • Manage IT budgets for site services and infrastructure
  • Build strong relationships with operational staff, ensuring that IT solutions meet business needs
  • Promote safety, compliance, and best practices in IT operations
  • Provide mentorship and support to other team members on-site
Skills & Knowledge Required
  • Strong knowledge of IT service delivery, support operations, and stakeholder engagement
  • Hands-on experience with IT infrastructure such as networking, access control, HVAC, UPS, video conferencing, and cabling
  • Practical experience supporting technology in remote or mine site environments
  • Familiarity with facilities and technology disciplines including radio and wireless communication systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Understanding of SLAs, performance metrics, and service monitoring
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to plan, execute, and manage IT-related projects and service initiatives
