Join a Leading Technology Organisation as a Field Technician
The client, a global technology solutions provider, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Technician to support their managed services operations in Melbourne, Australia.
This is a 12-month contract opportunity with a high chance of extension 

As the selected candidate, you will:
  • Support and maintain subscriber equipment deployed within the Victorian managed services.
  • Perform configuration, testing, and quality assurance of radio, mobile data, and video communication equipment.
  • Coordinate equipment deliveries, returns, and inventory management, liaising with customers, subcontractors, and freight providers.
  • Conduct minor repairs on equipment and perform asset tagging, system updates, and stocktakes.
  • Support deployment, upgrade, or modification projects related to subscriber equipment.
  • Provide field support activities, including site visits for vehicle installations and deinstallations.
  • Identify technical issues and recommend improvements to enhance service quality.
  • Ensure compliance with quality policies, health and safety regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Maintain professional documentation of all activities, including reports of any issues or incidents.
To be successful in this role you should have:
  • Customer service experience, with a focus on technical support or telecommunications.
  • Hands-on experience with electronic or telecommunications equipment.
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • A valid driver’s license for site visits across Victoria.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work within tight timelines, ensuring accuracy.
  • Receptiveness to change and a proactive approach to learning new systems.
  • A relevant Australian qualification or equivalent, such as a diploma or degree.
  • Basic networking knowledge; understanding of security concepts is desirable.
It is desirable if you have:
  • Experience with radio communication, mobile data, or ANPR equipment.
  • Experience in electronic equipment configuration.
  • Prior inventory management experience.
