About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Migration Lead to manage end-to-end data migration activities for a major system transformation program. This role oversees planning, execution, quality, and risk management while coordinating technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure a seamless and compliant migration.

Job Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end data migration planning, strategy, and execution across all project phases.
- Oversee data extraction, cleansing, transformation, validation, and reconciliation activities.
- Manage data quality assessments, identify issues, and define cleansing/remediation requirements.
- Coordinate with technical teams, business SMEs, and vendors to resolve migration-related issues.
- Ensure alignment with data governance, privacy, regulatory, and security requirements.
- Monitor migration progress, risks, and milestones, providing reporting to stakeholders.
- Support test planning to verify data accuracy and system readiness post-migration.
- Lead and develop a high-performing data migration team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
Required Skills
- Proven experience leading large-scale, complex data migration projects.
- Strong hands-on experience with ELT/ETL processes and tools.
- Expertise in data modelling, database structures, and data transformation.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to resolve complex data issues.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and multiple vendors.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across technical and non-technical groups.
- Ability to manage risks, drive accountability, and ensure data integrity throughout migrations.
Desired Skills
- Experience in major system replacement programs.
- Knowledge of public sector governance, compliance, and data security practices.
- Familiarity with large enterprise platforms and structured data quality frameworks.
- Leadership experience within complex or regulated environments.
