- Data & AI Privacy & Ethics Lead/Manager
- Fixed term: 18 months (with potential extension)
- Location: Melbourne
- Salary: $130K – $150K inclusive of super
We are seeking an experienced Data & AI Privacy and Ethics Lead/Manager to lead the development and implementation of privacy, data protection, and AI ethics frameworks across the organisation.
In this key role, you’ll ensure compliance with the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic), manage privacy impact assessments, and embed ethical data practices across digital and AI initiatives. You’ll work closely with senior leaders, IT, and Legal teams to manage risks and maintain the highest standards of transparency, integrity, and trust in data operations.
Key skills & experience:
- Minimum 5 years in Data Governance, Privacy, and Risk Compliance
- Strong knowledge of the Victorian Information Privacy Principles
- Experience with privacy frameworks, PIA management, and data breach response
- Desirable: CIPM / CIPT certification, Law or related qualification
- Proven ability to lead ethical AI and privacy-by-design initiatives
