• Provide technical leadership and guidance on enterprise projects and initiatives, embedding security into the design lifecycle.
• Develop and implement security patterns, controls, and frameworks across AWS, Azure, and third-party services.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex technical challenges and influence key decisions.
• Research and assess emerging threats, technologies, and vendor solutions to enhance the organisation’s defences.
• Guide teams to deliver security outcomes that reduce vulnerabilities and optimise efficiency.
• Contribute to developing and executing the organisation’s cyber security strategy.

What we're looking for:

• 10+ years in senior technical roles, including 7+ years in information/cyber security.
• Strong knowledge of Australian financial cybersecurity regulations (e.g. APRA CPS 234).
• Expertise in cloud security (ideally Azure), including use of tools like Palo Alto, Forcepoint, and Okta.
• In-depth understanding of Identity & Access Management and Zero Trust architecture.
• Familiarity with industry frameworks such as NIST, ISO, CobiT, SABSA, or TOGAF.
• Experience delivering security architecture in a DevSecOps environment.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications, and certifications such as CISSP, CRISC, SABSA, or cloud certifications (AWS/Azure) are highly desirable.

Benefits:

• Highly respected financial services organisation
• Hybrid work arrangement – 3 days from home per week
• Increased employer superannuation contributions
• Annual allowance to support your health and wellbeing
• Strong organisational focus on upskilling, certifications, and career development
• Office located in central Melbourne CBD with excellent access to public transport
• A wide range of inclusive and flexible leave options to support different life stages and personal needs, including additional paid leave over the end-of-year break

If you're passionate about designing secure, scalable systems and ready to make an impact in the financial services sector, we’d love to hear from you.
