About the Role
Our Federal Government Client is seeking a Cloud Integration Engineer with experience in Google Cloud Platform.
This is a long-term 12 month contract role with long term extension options available, offering hybrid working arrangements, preferably based in Canberra.
As the selected candidate, you will:
- Provide subject matter expert advice in relation to Cloud based solutions and Authentication and Integration of Identity solutions
- Deliver the desired outcomes by maintaining, supporting, and troubleshooting Cloud based solutions to achieve efficiencies
- Collaborate effectively with agile project team and technical team lead to produce a solution in accordance with requirements and broader Health objectives
- Contribute their expertise to ensure the system meets the functional requirements, performance thresholds and is sustainable into the future
- Ensure that best practice and Departmental standards are applied and managed covering technologies but not limited to AWS, GCP, VMWare, F5, AWS and Azure platforms and their integration
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical team members
- Communicate and negotiate technical concepts with non-technical staff effectively
- Ensure technical solutions are in line with business requirements
To be successful in this role you should have:
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience in the implementation and management of services hosted in Google Cloud services at enterprise level.
- A level of understanding of inter-cloud and/or on-prem solutions including integration with identity and security elements.
- Experience in CI/CD pipeline and automation practices, where practical.
- Show strong commitment to learning and self-development, embracing challenging new opportunities.
- Great communication skills with the ability to communicate with stakeholders internal and external.
- Working knowledge of ICT Service Delivery and best practices by having experience in application support, operations, incident and change management within a medium/large size organisation.
