About the Role:
Our Federal Government Client, is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer/Cloud Engineer.
This is a long-term 12-month contract role
with two 12-month extension options, located at our client’s offices across QLD, ACT, VIC, NSW, and SA, offering hybrid working arrangements.
As the selected candidate, you will:
• Design, deploy, and maintain public cloud environments (primarily Azure) ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
• Develop and implement AI-powered solutions
including agents created in Microsoft Copilot Studio
and advanced AI tools
built in Azure AI Foundry.
• Facilitate cloud migration and adoption initiatives, assessing current infrastructure and identifying opportunities for modernisation.
• Utilise technologies such as Azure Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus, and Managed File Transfer
to build scalable, reliable integration workflows.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for cloud and AI-related issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Work with IT, business units, and vendors to deliver secure and innovative infrastructure solutions aligned with business goals.
To be successful in this role you should have:
• Proven experience in an infrastructure engineering
role, deploying and managing cloud
environments.
• Strong technical expertise in Azure
cloud platforms, architecture, and services.
• Experience in designing, deploying, and managing AI solutions or agents ( Microsoft Copilot Studio and Azure AI Foundry preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Understanding of APS Values, Code of Conduct, and risk management frameworks.
It is desirable if you have:
• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or equivalent professional experience.
• Microsoft Azure or AI-related certifications.
• Experience supporting large-scale digital service infrastructure within a government context.
Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens
with the ability to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance.
