About the Role:
Our Client is seeking multiple Hybrid Business Analysts / Testers who hold an active baseline security clearance or higher. This is a permanent opportunity located in Canberra.
As the selected candidate, you will have the following responsibilities:
Business & Systems Analysis:
- Assess current state, gather customer requirements, and define future state and business solutions.
- Evaluate business models and their integration with technology platforms.
- Refine and analyse features to ensure alignment with business goals and technical feasibility.
- Produce high-level documentation including business requirements, functional specifications, process maps, and solution designs.
- Support alignment between business goals and technical implementation.
Testing & Quality Assurance:
- Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on documented requirements.
- Execute functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Apply testing standards, guidelines, and methodologies to meet project objectives.
- Ensure testing results are well-documented, accessible, and understandable to stakeholders.
- Track defects to closure and maintain an up-to-date defect repository.
- Triage defects and collaborate with development teams for resolution.
To be successful in this role you should have:
- Experience in business analysis, systems analysis, and software testing.
- Strong understanding of business process modelling, feature refinement, and systems integration.
- Proven ability to produce high-quality documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and SAFe methodologies.
- Proficiency in tools such as JIRA and test management platforms.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
It is desirable if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, or related field.
- Certifications such as ISTQB, IIBA CBAP/CCBA, or equivalent.
- Experience with or interest in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) is a plus.
