About the Role
Global IT Consulting Client is seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer.
This is a full-time, permanent position located at our client’s Canberra office with flexible working arrangements (hybrid).
As the selected candidate, you will:
- Implement, configure, and manage Azure Arc to extend Azure management and governance across on-premises, multi-cloud, and edge environments.
- Integrate non-Azure resources with Azure services for unified management and monitoring.
- Design and deploy scalable, secure cloud infrastructure solutions using Azure services.
- Develop and maintain hybrid cloud solutions bridging on-premises and Azure environments.
- Create automation scripts using ARM templates, Azure CLI, and PowerShell; implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Monitor and optimize cloud resources using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
- Ensure security compliance and manage identity/access controls via Azure AD and RBAC.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Azure and Azure Arc-related issues.
- Maintain documentation and prepare reports on cloud infrastructure performance.
- Stay updated on Azure and Azure Arc advancements and recommend improvements.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Proven experience in Azure Cloud Engineering, with strong expertise in Azure services.
- Solid understanding of hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
- Proficiency in automation tools and scripting (ARM templates, PowerShell, Azure CLI).
- Strong knowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
It is desirable if you have:
- Experience in managed services environments with on-call and shift flexibility.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Arc implementation and management.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps practices.
- Certifications in Microsoft Azure (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305, or Azure Specialty certifications).
Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian Citizens with an existing Negative Vetting 1.
