Our Federal Government Client is seeking a .Net Software Engineer (Developer)
This is a long-term contract role, with a 12-month extension term (1 extension), located at our client’s ACT, NSW, NT, QLD, SA, TAS, WA offices with hybrid working arrangements.
As the selected candidate, you will:
• Participate in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to enhance and maintain enterprise applications using C#.
• Develop automated application build and deployment scripts using .NET Core and Microsoft technology stack.
• Work within Agile development teams, using tools such as Azure DevOps.
• Liaise with technical and business staff to resolve issues across production systems.
• Provide detailed technical analysis, documentation, and reporting.
• Share development knowledge and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support election preparation activities and additional responsibilities as directed.
To be successful in this role you should have:
• Demonstrated experience with Agile methodologies and the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Strong experience with Visual Studio, .NET Core, and developing automated build/deployment scripts.
• Backend development expertise using Web API and SQL technologies.
• Proficiency in tools such as Azure DevOps, Blazor, MS Suite, and Miro (or similar).
• Demonstrated experience in developing cloud-based applications and managing delivery timelines.
• Ability to produce clean, testable, and well-documented code, including peer reviewing others’ work.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders across a geographically dispersed team.
It is desirable if you have:
• Tertiary qualifications or certifications in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of, or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of, Australian electoral law and practices.
• Experience in Microsoft Azure, cloud technologies, and technical analysis/design.
• Experience in designing and implementing end-to-end integration solutions.
Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens with the ability to obtain Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) clearance.
