Our Federal Government Client is seeking a Change and Release Manager
This is a long-term contract role (12-month initial contract duration) with 2 x 12-month extension terms, located at our client’s Canberra office (ACT) with hybrid working arrangements.

As the selected candidate, you will:
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of IT service transition and ITIL frameworks
  • Lead, manage, and continuously improve the Change and Release Management processes
  • Develop and maintain change control and release governance across the IT lifecycle
  • Coordinate implementation plans for complex changes, including risk evaluation and communication
  • Oversee deployment management, ensuring availability of deliverables in test and production environments
  • Conduct Post Implementation Reviews (PIRs) and manage Service Improvement Plans (SIPs)
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to manage release scheduling and deployment
  • Ensure tools, processes, and automation for change/release management are effective and integrated
  • Validate and review change requests, release notes, and ensure rollback plans are in place
  • Confirm process integration with other ITSM disciplines and liaise with Change Advisory Boards (CABs)
To be successful in this role you should have:
  • ITIL 4 Foundation certification
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating and facilitating Change, Release, and Deployment Management processes
  • Strong knowledge of ITSM practices including Release and Change Management
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and align teams to a common goal
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strategic thinking and continuous improvement mindset
It is desirable if you have:
  • Tertiary qualifications in ICT and/or significant proven experience in relevant management domains
  • ITIL 4 Specialist: Create, Deliver and Support certification
  • ITIL 4 Specialist: High-Velocity IT (HVIT) certification
  • ITIL 4 Practitioner: Release Management certification
  • DevOps Foundation (DOFD) certification
Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens with the ability to obtain Negative Vetting Level 1 clearance.
