Our Client is seeking an ITIL IT Asset Management Specialist.

This is a perm role. This position offers flexible working arrangements.

As the selected candidate, you will:

* Develop and implement IT asset management policies, procedures, and best practices in alignment with ITIL standards.

* Establish and maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, software, licenses, and peripherals.

* Track the lifecycle of IT assets from procurement to disposal, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to organizational guidelines.

* Conduct regular audits and assessments to validate asset data accuracy and identify areas for improvement.

* Collaborate with procurement, finance, and IT teams to optimize asset procurement processes, negotiate vendor contracts, and ensure cost-effective asset acquisition.

* Monitor asset utilization and performance metrics to identify opportunities for optimization and cost savings.

* Coordinate with IT service management teams to integrate asset management processes into service delivery workflows.

* Provide guidance and support to stakeholders on asset management practices, including asset tagging, tracking, and retirement.

* Implement tools and technologies to automate asset management processes and improve efficiency.

* Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to IT asset management.

To be successful in this role you should have:

* Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.

* ITIL Foundation certification or higher.

* Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT asset management or a related field.

* Proficiency in IT asset management tools and ServiceNow software.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI tool.

* Strong understanding of hardware and software asset lifecycles, licensing models, and compliance requirements.

* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.

* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.

It is desirable if you have:

* Experience in project management and process improvement methodologies.

* Certifications such as Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) or Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP).

Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens with a Baseline security clearance.
