Our Federal Government Client is seeking a Cyber Security Bundle Lead to contribute to the Client's future Cyber Security approach, ensuring that the requirements identified in any sourcing transaction align with the Client's ICT and Cyber Security strategy and direction.

The Cyber Security Bundle Lead will lead a leveraged team of technical, commercial, and service delivery specialists, including the Cyber Security SME, to deliver assigned outcomes. The successful Cyber Security Bundle Lead will provide thought leadership and support in identifying and defining future Cyber Security service offerings, governance models and service delivery arrangements. The Cyber Security Bundle Lead will also have strong demonstrated experience providing Cyber Security services, including analysis, threat detection, response, and remediation.

The core functions to be performed by the Cyber Security Bundle Lead include, but are not limited, to the following:

  • Work closely with the Sourcing Lead and the Program Office Lead in defining, scoping and managing the delivery of assigned outcomes.
  • Work closely with the EL2 Director in ensuring appropriate levels of engagement are being undertaken with existing Cyber Security service teams.
  • Works with the Cyber and Protective Security Branch to identify and document ICT and cyber security future direction including policy, process, operational and delivery arrangements and services;
  • Work with all relevant stakeholders to develop any approach to market documentation for Cyber Security services.
  • Undertake, as necessary, research and investigation into modern ICT Cyber Security practices and delivery models.
  • Provides assurance that the resulting technical services and capabilities from any sourcing activity meet the Departments ICT and cyber security requirements, principally by participating as required in the evaluation of responses and through the planning of transition and transformation to new arrangements; and
  • Support the Sourcing Lead to ensure that the ICT Sourcing Plan aligns with the approved and emerging ICT and cyber security strategies and policies.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstration of comprehensive knowledge of ICT and Cyber Security technologies and best practices by having 5+ years' experience in similar role within a medium/large size organisation.
  • Certification and/or membership to relevant professional organisations including certification in any of the following: CISSP, Security+, CISA, CISM, SABSA, GIAC and SANs
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and change management skills to facilitate smooth transitions and minimise disruption.
  • Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to identify gaps in strategy, delivery, and capability, resolve complex issues and seek consensus.
  • The ability to lead relevant workshops and technical discussions to produce a consensus view or outcome.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate to stakeholders, executive and technical staff. Ability to develop clear and concise documentation for inclusion in future approaches to market. The ability to clearly articulate requirements, expectations and outcomes is essential.
  • The ability to present information and communicate expectations across conflicting priorities/workloads.
  • Ability to work under pressure with close attention to detail. This includes the ability to plan, coordinate, and track the progress of various activities within agreed timelines.
  • NV1 Security Clearance

The role has an initial 12-month contract with two (2) possible 12-month contract extensions. Candidates MUST be located in Canberra, ACT and available to work a minimum of 3 days per week in Woden, ACT.

Candidates must be Australian citizens with active AGSVA Negative Vetting Level 1 Security Clearance.
