Our Federal Government Client is seeking a Solutions Architect with extensive experience with cybersecurity principles and frameworks, and major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
This is a long-term contract role with an initial duration of 12 months, with the possibility of 2x12-month extension terms, located at our Client's office in Canberra. This will be full time, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day. Flexible working/work from home arrangements may be considered on a case-by-case basis (3 days in office + 2 days remote).
This resource will drive the technical direction of projects and work packages under Client's digital uplift program, ensuring compliance with their enterprise and security architecture frameworks, developing system design documentation in accordance with those requirements. The successful candidate will be flexible and able to undertake implementation planning, test planning as well as deploy system changes and configurations in the Client's ICT environment.
Essential criteria:
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, practices, and frameworks.
- Proven experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Ability to design and implement PaaS and SaaS solutions.
- Proven experience producing high quality technical documentation, including detailed designs, for submission and endorsement by governance bodies such as an architectural review board.
- Ability to ensure solutions meet compliance and security requirements.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, including developers, engineers, vendors and business units.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or similar.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest trends in cloud computing and cyber security.
Desirable criteria:
- Technical tertiary qualifications, Microsoft or Splunk certifications are highly desirable.
- Working as in a Security Operations Centre environment is desirable.
- Applied Experience with a cybersecurity tool such as SPLUNK, or the ability to utilise system administration or scripting experience to address cyber security requirements.
Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens with active AGSVA Negative Vetting Level 1.
