The client is a leading organisation focused on upgrading a critical intelligence management system and need skilled .NET developers for modernization efforts.
The role:
This role involves remediating and migrating critical applications on Windows 2016 servers, requiring expertise in .NET, C#, Azure DevOps, and SQL Server, with a focus on scalable and efficient code.
Responsibilities:
- Upgrade and migrate multiple applications from unsupported servers to modern infrastructure.
- Write, maintain, and optimize clean, scalable code in C# or Visual Basic.NET.
- Manage deployments and provide production support.
- Conduct root cause analysis on production issues and estimate resolution timelines.
- Create and update user and technical documentation for ongoing support and future enhancements.
- Provide adaptive and corrective maintenance for enterprise systems.
Key experience:
- Experience in software development and defect resolution for enterprise systems.
- Strong knowledge of Git version control and Azure DevOps build tools.
- Proficient in .NET 4.7.2, ASP.NET MVC 5.2, and Microsoft SQL 2022.
Desirable experience:
- Experience with ITIL frameworks; Prince 2 certification is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to meet critical project milestones.
- Collaborative mindset, able to work closely with Project Managers, Team Leads, and Business Analysts.
