The role:
We are seeking a Senior IT Risk and Audit Specialist hit the ground running in a newly created role that reports directly to the CTO.
This is a challenging, high-profile position that demands expertise in IT risk management and audit standards, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to perform under pressure.
You will be the go-to expert, confidently addressing complex questions from multiple panels, including external audit committees, and will play a pivotal role in enhancing the maturity of the risk environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Confidently present and respond to inquiries from various panels, demonstrating a deep understanding of the risk landscape and audit requirements across a complex group of companies.
- In collaboration with the Cyber Manager, you will work to develop and enhance the maturity of the IT risk environment, ensuring that practices align with industry standards and best practices.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations on risk management and audit processes and acting as a trusted advisor to senior management.
- Convey complex risk and audit information clearly and concisely, ensuring that all stakeholders, including senior management and external audit committees, are fully informed and engaged.
Key experience:
- You will have strong experience within the Information Security field, with hands-on experience conducting risk and compliance activities in IT environments.
- The ability to think on your feet and provide quick, accurate responses in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with senior level stakeholders and external audit committees.
- Ideally Big 4 trained (or equivalent), with experience in reporting to the highest audit and risk management standards.
- A degree in a relevant field is required, and security or risk specialist qualifications, such as CISSP or CISM is an advantage.
