Solution Architect - Human Capital Management Solution (HCMS) Program

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join a QLD Government department on a Human Capital Management Solution (HCMS) Program. This three-year program aims to replace the department's current HR systems with a modern Human Capital Management Solution, leveraging best practices to support workforce development and achieve organisational goals.

As the Solution Architect, you will be responsible for delivering logical and physical solution architecture across various projects and workstreams, focusing on both functional and technical aspects. You will work closely with product vendors, system integration partners, and internal teams to design, deliver, and upgrade the HCMS solution, playing a key role throughout the solution architecture development lifecycle, including migration.

Experience:

  • Solid experience with Solution Architecture experience with ERP and Human Capital Management solutions across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
  • Proven experience in designing logical and physical solution architecture and implementing stable, high-performing solutions.
  • Expertise in developing roadmaps and solution patterns aligned with strategic plans to optimize solution reuse.
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple concurrent initiatives and delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders.

Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, ITIL) and experience with change control and operational transformation processes.
  • Ability to assess and recommend future technology directions, adhering to industry and organizational standards.
  • Proficiency in developing and managing complex system architectures, ensuring they meet specified requirements.
  • Capacity to guide and coordinate design activities, fostering consistency and alignment with architectural standards.
  • Skilled in providing expert technical advice and coordinating efforts across multidisciplinary teams for optimal results.
