Our client, an Adelaide-based software company with a global reach, is looking for a skilled Business Analyst to join their compliance team working closely with an international team of software engineers, application specialists as well as the client solutions implementation team. Specialising in innovative AI-powered workforce management solutions, they have a strong local and US market presence and are now expanding into the UK and European markets.
About the role
You will be a subject matter expert for compliance requirements, effectively interpret 'legalese', seeking clarifications with legal experts where necessary, and translating these into technical activities which you will both oversee and implement alongside an experienced team of software engineers.
What You'll Do:
- Become the subject matter expert on compliance, managing business rules aligned with local and federal laws.
- Work with the Compliance Lead to support internal compliance initiatives, ensuring tasks are accurately defined and documented for software engineers.
- Collaborate with legal experts to interpret legal requirements and communicate their technical impact to software engineers and clients.
- Resolve production issues and provide compliance guidance through customer support and the internal QA teams.
- Manage compliance implementation strategies, consolidating requirements from customers, lawyers, and internal teams.
- Oversee documentation, including release notes and change management communications.
Skills and experience
- 2+ years of experience in a software product-based environment.
- Proven ability to interpret compliance/legal requirements and translate them into technical tasks for engineers.
- Hands-on experience with the Atlassian product suite (JIRA, Confluence).
- An understanding of software architecture or software programming concepts
