About the Company

Our client, a federal governement agency, is looking for an Technology Manager who will be responsible and accountable for ensuring that our computer systems run smoothly within the constraints of requirements, specifications, costs, and timelines.

The Workplace Manager will be in charge of overseeing the implementation and upkeep of the company's computing needs.

Our client is located in Melbourne CBD and offers hybrid work arrangements as well as the option of a permanent or rollout contract.

About the role

The Technology Manager will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining all computer systems within the company. He will ensure the smooth operation of these services by monitoring their efficiency as well as security measures taken against any vulnerabilities in software programmes used on a daily basis, ensuring secure operation throughout every department.

The Technology Manager will be in charge of connecting the workplace to the outside world. He will ensure that the company will be always connected by managing voice, video, and data connections on-site at each location as well as checking in with remote workers about their tech needs.

The successful candidate will have enhanced skills, demonstrated professional experience, and in-depth knowledge of industry best practises.

Responsibilities

  • Manage information technology and computer systems.
  • Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations.
  • Oversee the laptop, iPad, and iPhone refresh programmes.
  • Oversee Technology in Meeting rooms, Audio Visual.
  • Manage IT staff by training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance.
  • Manage Laptop, iPad and iPhone refresh programs
  • Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures
  • Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy


Skills and experience

  • Experience in running a Digital Workplace.
  • Experience running a team with a high user touch.
  • Background in a virtual desktop rollouts.
  • Experience in Device Refresh
  • Ability to manage vendor relationship.
  • Strong communication and engagement skills
  • Solid knowledge of workplace technology, Audio Visual, Meeting room.
  • Laptop, iPad, and iPhone refresh programmes experience,

Experience with M365, Lockers, and Desk Booking.
