We are looking to hire an experienced VMWare Lead for one of our premier clients. This role plays an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure that goals and objectives of new business development requests are accomplished within prescribed time frames. The incumbent must consistently aim to deliver quality services and/or solutions that meet business requirements and ensure that goals are accomplished in line with business objectives.
- Consolidate multiple environments into one vCenter.
- Implementation experience of Storage requirements for migration path and plan accordingly.
- Implementation experience network requirements for migration.
- Strong hands on experience of clusters for High Availability (HA) and Distributed Resource Scheduling (DRS)
- Good understanding of VMotion, SVmotion
- Previous experience in managing VMware Environment (200+ ESXi hosts)
- Should have experience in at least 1 or 2 Migration and upgrade.
- HP DL / BL hardware Knowledge
- Installation, configuration, and administration of VMware ESXi, vCenter 5.0, 5.5, 6.0
- Upgrade ESXi, vCenter from 5.0 to 6.0/6.5
- Migrate Virtual servers from one vCenter to another vCenter
- Create VMFS Data stores by using the LUNs assigned by SAN
- Creating and managing the virtual machines and installing VM tools into VM's
- Managing the VM's using virtual center
- Hands on knowledge in, vSAN, SAN, FC
- Hands on knowledge of planning and implementing VMware vCenter upgrade from one version to another.
- Hands on knowledge of planning and implementing VMware ESXi host upgrade from one version to another.
- Hands on Knowledge of planning and implementing ESXi Host migration from one Environment to another.
- Build, configure and deploy VMs, manage, templates and migrate virtual machines
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot ESX/ESXi environment running Windows Server for production, development and test environments
- VCP Certified
