Our client is one of the largest suppliers of utility in Australia, providing products and services to millions of customers. They need to design and deliver wireframes/prototypes, user journeys, and final designs optimised for a wide range of devices and interfaces.

About the Role:

Our client is looking for an experienced UX Lead designer to join their team. The UX Lead will be expected to design the overall functionality of the product, and to ensure a great user experience, iterate upon it in accordance with user-testing. The lead will also support the Architecture and Engagement team on innovation pipeline with Business Partners through sound UX approach.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the UX design thinking process is efficient and productive in problem solving and refining user requirements
  • Ensure that the UX practice is sustainable and billable internally
  • Ensure that the UX and design thinking process fits into the existing processes internally
  • Drive the establishment of a DevOps framework and operating model supporting continuous development and deployment of end user experience outcomes.
  • Drive UX/UI standards for Digital uplift with our project teams and partners
  • Add value to the software delivery lifecycle and process by setting up a basic DevOps structure and delivery lifecycle supporting prototype to production.
  • Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mock-ups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences
  • Ability to communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions clearly and effectively to teams and stakeholders
  • Facilitate product vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping, and user-testing experiences for digital platform and products
  • Design and deliver wireframes/prototypes, user journeys, and final designs optimised for a wide range of devices and interfaces
  • Create personas and storyboards by facilitating design sprints
  • Take a user-centred design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs
  • Help project management support for innovation, UX with business partners
  • Mentoring other UX team members

Skills and Experience:

  • Advanced Professional with significant experience in a similar/professional role in the Consulting, Utilities or Technology industry
  • Broad consulting experience with human-centered design and customer experience in the domain of intelligent automation.
  • Experience working on Saas products
  • Working within product management tools (SharePoint Online, M365, Azure, JIRA, Confluence, Pega)
  • Strong experience in establishing a driving a DevOps framework and practice using CI/CD tools and processes.
  • A user-centric mindset
  • Knowledge of industry tools such as Sketch, InVision, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Zeplin and OmniGraffle.
  • Business know-how: Understanding of business metrics and the ability to translate company goals and objectives into digital experiences

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a directly related 5+ years of prior relevant experience in intelligent automation ecosystem architecture.
  • 5+ years of UX design experience in a DevOps context. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience designing complex solutions for complete digital environments.
  • Proven track record of leading large organisations in adopting UX Design and DevOps with success and continuous improvement mechanism in place
  • Proven track record of establishing an internal capability and center of excellence in the intelligent automation domain
  • Broad/relevant experience in a range of technology domains including connectivity, cloud, integration and large corporate platforms and applications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, written and oral communication, attention to detail and follow-through skills.

  • Human-centered design certifications
  • Process automation / improvement certifications
  • Lean six sigma Green Belt certified or above
  • Any recognized UX Design certification (Highly desired)
  • DevOps Certification
