A Federal Government Agency requires a User Interface Designer for a large program of work.
You will be required to create functional User Interfaces and also create design systems or digital style guides and component libraries.
Role will include:.
- Create exceptional and functional user interfaces that enhance the user experience.
- Create design systems or digital style guides and component libraries, thoroughly considering user interactions and design patterns, as well as working within multidisciplinary teams, including alongside development teams.
- Communicate confidently with stakeholders at all levels and build relationships internally and externally. The ability to collaborate and excellent attention to detail are both essential for this role
- Design low and high-fidelity concepts, prototypes, user interfaces, interactions and components based on user research.
- Cultivate productive working relationships - builds and sustains relationships with a network of key people internally and externally.
The following skills and experience required:
- Demonstrated skill and experience designing for digital. Including low and high-fidelity concepts, prototypes, user interfaces, interactions and components based on user research.
- Communicates with influence - confidently communicates and presents in a clear, concise, and articulate manner using the most appropriate medium for conveying information.
- Experience presenting concepts and design rationale to colleagues, and stakeholders. Listens, understands, and adapts communication to audiences. Strong attention to detail.
- Experience working collaboratively and positively within design team and with developer teams.
- Experience delivering user-centred design projects
- Seeks feedback from stakeholders to gauge satisfaction.
- Experience working within an in-house user experience design team in a large and complex organisation, and proficiency in multiple design and prototyping software tools will be highly regarded. (Current tools used in the team are sketch, abstract, and in vision).
Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian Citizens who currently hold or are able to gain an Australian Government security clearance
