Peoplebank are recruiting for a Technical Delivery Manager to work on a large ICT program, which is focussed on transforming the ICT that underpins a large workforce mobility transformation.

This role is based in Adelaide and offered on an initial contract to June 2022, but with long term extensions very likely.


Responsibilities will include

Managing technical implementations to meet defined business outcomes and requirements by:

  • Developing and facilitating the development of solution designs for network, hardware, database, application, security and integration architectures for the Mobility Program
  • Coordinating vendor and internal resources to deliver Program outcomes
  • Coordinating the development of sound estimates of effort and cost
  • Communicating with and gaining agreement on designs from all stakeholders
  • Gaining agreement on the changes where the design differs from endorsed standards, or sets new standards.

Coordinating solution implementations by developing and executing a solution strategy by:

  • Documenting preferred approaches and identifying standards, ensuring conformance to architecture, development and support standards;
  • Working with project staff to ensure the detailed design and implementation conforms to the original high-level design;
  • Monitoring the design of business solutions during the project and facilitate any change;
  • Communicating any major change in solution design in the life of a project to relevant stakeholders.

Maintaining the design conformance of solutions by:

  • Ensuring endorsed detailed application strategies and architectures are compliant with the overall directions and objectives
  • Recommending changes to solutions in light of changes to standards or products.

Contributing to the continuous improvement of services provided by identifying and recommending improvements to current solutions, documentation and outcomes.

Skills and Experience required

  • Experience in the design and implementation of large corporate ICT business solutions applications
  • Experience in solution delivery in a multi-tier and multi-platform environment
  • Experience in network and software application modelling as a means to providing effective solution designs;
  • Proven ability to analyse and understand a customer's business and its needs
  • Experience in a broad range of applications platforms, databases, networks, servers and storage systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively with teams of vendor and internal technical resources in the delivery of IT solutions;
  • Experience with mobility technologies
  • Proven ability to work and communicate effectively with people at all levels in a team environment, both personally and for a group/team in the achievement of goals
  • Strong background in Microsoft technologies, particularly Azure identity, device and networking solutions (desirable)
  • Experience in integration, SOA, Web Service gateways and distributed software architectures (desirable)
  • Experience in web applications integrating with legacy applications (desirable)
  • Experience implementing mobility solutions (desirable)
