The main objectives of the Business Analyst are effective Business Analysis, Requirements Management, Functional Design and Process Mapping to enable successful delivery of the Enterprise Data Warehouse and associated Business Intelligence projects.

Key responsibilities include:

 Lead the project team through the requirements gathering, documenting and analysis process, incorporating all identified stakeholders

 Gather and document requirements and translate to the technical team and/or the business

 Identify and engage stakeholders, leading the requirement analysis process by facilitating collaboration and workshopping processes to elicit business/functional requirements  Make recommendations on data collection, integration and retention requirements incorporating business requirements and knowledge of best practices

 Undertake detailed analysis of complex and diverse BI/DW requirements to ensure that all analysis and modelling is based in factual elements and draws out information that is cohesive, dynamic and value-adding to the business

 Own the coordination and communication of requirements across all stakeholder groups for the project

 Understand business drivers and priorities to document prioritisation of requirements and recommend phasing options

 Work as a consultant helping business stakeholders identify and diagnose problems to better understand their needs

 Identify business opportunities through stakeholder engagement and relationship development

 Own and ensure traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle  Perform investigational research and analysis/ evaluation to determine project, tool or application feasibility where appropriate.

 Provide training and mentoring for the other team members in the best practice of analytical techniques and application of the agreed SDLC

 Develop business requirements and functional specifications that design and document desired outcome of system enhancement/development

 Understand project scope and clearly document what is in scope and what is not in scope, taking ownership of scope on behalf of the project

 Liaise with all members of the development team including product owner, program manager, scrum master, developers as required

 Contribute to organisational change management activities (e.g. FAQs for Community of Practice, training, documentation, briefings etc.)

 Coordination of, and contribution to UAT activity.

Requirements:

 Minimum 5 years of experience in IT, and 5 years of experience in a business analyst role

 Minimum 5 years of experience in large scale projects

 Minimum 2 years' experience as a BA on Enterprise Data Warehouse projects

 Solid experience as a BA supporting business intelligence, dashboards, data analysis and reporting projects

 Experienced in requirements gathering and conversing with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation

 Good understanding of all aspects of the systems/software development lifecycle

 Experience in working within an agile environment, including understanding of scope management, requirements prioritisation, and backlog development  Strong requirements gathering, user stories writing, and acceptance criteria definition skills

 Strong understanding of dimensional modelling concepts with attention to determining and applying level of detail, aggregation, summarisation, etc.

 Knowledge of SQL and the MS stack including Power BI

 Proven skills in confident communication, influencing and clear accurate documentation

 Track-record in gaining the confidence of business stakeholders and building productive working relationships with key clients and technical teams

 Relevant tertiary qualifications, preferably in an IT discipline, or equivalent successful experience.
