SQL Data / Business Analyst - Finance
This is an exciting project where a changing regulatory environment has driven the need for more robust management of data and how it is used to meet reporting requirements.
You will be working in a team of Data Analyst's and BA's developing a new solution through the complex extraction and manipulation (SQL) of the relevant data from the group warehouses and ERP systems. You will partner with group finance and the business to undertake data discovery, analysis and ultimately define a solution.
To be considered for this role you will need:
- Work with the business to understand their needs, gather requirements and develop solutions.
- Experience with Wealth Management Products
- Advanced knowledge of SQL (data extraction and manipulation) and Excel for data discovery
- Experience with database platforms Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server and MS Access highly regarded
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and short turnaround times
- Experience working on finance (accounting) projects is essential
- Ability to elicit requirements from various stakeholders and to distinguish between requests and underlying needs
- Ability to work with large and complex data from a variety of sources across numerous database platforms.
