Peoplebank are currently recruiting for a Technical Analyst (Data project) to work on a new project, on a 6 month contract starting in January 2019.

The Technical Analyst is responsible for ensuring reports and functionality in existing legacy systems can accurately be replicated in the centralised data store. Indeed, you will to investigate and help implement solutions relating to:

  • Understanding the legacy system's data, data structures, reports and functional usage
  • Interpret functional specifications and descriptions into technical requirements
  • Understanding and document the data and technical requirements that will support ongoing business needs for reporting and ongoing operations
  • Structuring repositories to suitably store the data for future use and to ensure longevity
  • Extract and where appropriate transform the data from the legacy systems for upload into the central store
  • Design and assist in the building of a capability to meet the ongoing reporting, data retention as well as clinical and operational needs of the business
  • Help validate solutions at each stage in the development lifecycle



The Technical Analyst is required to:

  • Document and verify work by engaging in the established internal technical review and change management processes
  • Work and communicate within a collaborative team environment
  • Be 'solution' focussed
  • Be accountable for meeting deliverables in line with the agreed schedule
  • Perform other related activities within the technical design domain as requested


Skills and Experience required include:

  • Demonstrated experience working with relational databases (ideally SQL)
  • Demonstrated experience in interpreting functional documentation and preparing technical documentation
  • Be a self-motivated member of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a collaborative team environment
  • Proven ability to work unsupervised in a self-directed manner
  • Proven and effective communication skills
  • Proven experience in working in a dynamic and changing work environment
  • Proven ability to manage competing work priorities to meet agreed work schedules and outcomes
