System Engineer

About the Company
Our client, a WA industry leader is looking for a System Engineer on a full-time permanent position.
Responsibilities include:
- Planning, design, implementation and upgrades of servers and applications (hardware, software, and cloud)
- Extensive experience in the implementation, management, and administration of VMWare, 365, Azure and DevOps
- Optimisation and risk management for system infrastructure and underlying IT applications
- Ensuring all IT systems are secure and recoverable, adhering to patch management and backup policy
- Act as an escalation point, collaborate and mentor other team members when required.
- Maintaining effective communications with customers and vendors
- Identifying and raising improvement opportunities via the IT Operations Manager
Skills Required
- Relevant Microsoft Certifications - MCSA, MCSE
- Extensive experience and specialist skills in the configuration and maintenance of IT infrastructure in hybrid environment, including the ability to support a variety of technologies
- Knowledge and experience in telephony platforms, on premise and or cloud
- Knowledge and understanding of the ITIL processes, desired Foundation's certification - ITIL4
- Demonstrated experience in liaising and managing successful outcomes with third party vendors
