We are looking for a Splunk Analyst to join one of the big banks for an initial 6 month contract.
Support
- Provide second level support for Splunk queries from Acquiring Development/BAU/Support teams
- Triage, assess and assist with report development for BAU (Service request) teams
Development
- Develop Splunk dashboards
- Gather requirements from projects and develop/assist in development of solutions
- Create and refine development processes
- Document and promote best practices
- Assist Splunk roadmap activities to move to stable (strategic) Splunk platform
- Identify potential use cases for Splunk use and develop solutions
- Assist with Splunk realtime feed project
Administration
- Creation/Maintenance of TEST indexes
- Manage configurations and backup
- Manage data feeds from various systems
- Monitor usage and generate reports for PROD and TEST systems
- Setup alerting/notification
Also useful:
- Splunk Developer/Admin, Git, Python, Java, JMS
- Payment industry knowledge and/or mainframe skills would be added advantage
