As part of the Local Area Coordination (LAC) and Early Childhood Services (ECS) branches you will see yourself assisting sourcing and contract management activities. You will provide crucial support in relation to procurement within a Commonwealth legislative environment, maintaining a close relationship with key stakeholders on various sourcing projects

Responsibilities of Sourcing officer / Sourcing specialist:

  • Provision of high level administrative support to the sourcing team
  • Support of ongoing reviews and improvements to sourcing processes and systems
  • Assisting with project support activities including planning and strategy, market approach/research, analysis, evaluations and negotiations
  • Contract formation, review and execution activities
  • Ensuring compliance of legislative and regulatory requirements
  • Contributing to achieving maximum value during the sourcing process
  • Stakeholder engagement & relationship management

Experience and Skills required:

  • Experience in Procurement, stratergic sourcing and contract management role withing a government organisation.
  • Proven experience in administration with high level skills in Microsoft Office suite preferably within the government, community or health industries
  • Exceptional customer service ethic with a commitment to service delivery
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Be a skilled wordsmith with the ability to compose correspondence, briefs and other document preparation as required
  • Solid research and analysis skills with the ability to convert this into succinct clear reports
  • The ability to build strong effective relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Have a positive contemporary attitude to people with disability and an understanding of its impact on individuals
