We are currently recruiting for a Solution Architect to work within a dynamic team environment within a Government Sector for several current projects.
About the role
The role will have a focus on the Application and Solution Architecture Domain. The role will be responsible for identifying dependencies, developing solutions and working with the technical SME's to ensure a smooth transfer.
The role may be also required to work in the wider application solution architecture area which is likely to entail strong experience in web technologies, Digital Solutions, IDAM, hybrid cloud environments, integration and data exchanges across a diverse set of technologies.
Responsibilities
- Review, interpret and respond to detailed business requirements specifications (BRS) to ensure alignment between customer expectations and current or future ICT capability.
- Define and design technology solutions, within the agreed program architecture, to assist the business in meeting their business objectives.
- Develop, test and implement technology solutions and report on delivery commitments to ensure solutions are implemented as expected and to agreed timeframes.
- Work closely with organisational key stakeholders and developers to ensure that the needs of the business are being met by the architecture teams.
- Conduct research and analysis to inform recommended IT solutions across a range of organisational mainframes and technical systems and devices.
- Support the development and maintenance of service catalogue collaborating with program architecture, digital product owners and both technical and business subject matter experts during solution development.
Skills and experience
- The role will require an understanding of architecture principles but will also be required to work in detailed designs and at a low technical level. While the focus is Application and Solution Architecture strong capabilities in integration, data architecture and infrastructure are a bonus.
- Understanding the fundamental drivers of the business and challenge conventional thinking.
- Balancing current digital program and new requirement requests in the context of competing business demands.
- Developing and maintaining Solution Architecture Designs within the digital program and working closely with agile teams, in a time of great change within the organisation, ensuring agility and flexibility is maintained.
