Our client seeks 2-3 x Level 3 Software Engineers or Computer Scientists to supplement existing Land Network Integration Centre (LNIC) workforce and become subject matter experts on design and implementation of the AS LDM. Please note this is not a team approach, as candidates will be assessed individually.
Candidates are expected to be skilled in software engineering, and able to understand the application of software engineering and the AS LDM onto military vehicles, and other platforms such as a soldier's equipment (military staff are available to provide context on use cases of vehicles). They should be able identify and explain design trade-offs to military, business and technical stakeholders, and clearly document design and implementation of the AS LDM.
The candidates will also be expected to work with internal or external service providers to support development of AS LDM conformant software. In the immediate term, this will include a focus on development of AS LDM services and conformance testing tools.
A three-month period of probation is imposed as a condition of engagement for all new contractors.
Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian Citizens who currently possess a NV1 Security Clearance.
