Analyst, Site Reliability Engineer

The ideal candidate will be familiar with current technologies provided through Amazon Web Services or Azure. A focus will be placed on your ability to demonstrate an understanding of development practices, containers and microservice architectures.

Your key responsibilities will be

  • Proactively analyse the platform to identify performance improvements that can be addressed by the Site Reliability Engineering team
  • Develop internal team tooling to aid in the maintenance, performance and reliability of the platform
  • Maintain and engineer performance improvements to existing cloud environments
  • Improve current processes via automation to reduce manual effort
  • Become a go to person for developers and service team members for troubleshooting
  • Review logs and monitor using Splunk, AppDynamics and other tools
  • Problem solve technical issues raised by customers both internal and external
  • Join the on-call roster to provide out of hours technical support
  • Work closely with developers, devops, and senior site reliability engineers to execute platform requirements and priorities

You will bring

  • 3+ Experience working in development as either a software or devops engineer with AWS experience
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines
  • An understanding of microservice architectures
  • Experience working with AWS particularly EC2, ECS, VPC, Cloudwatch and Cloudformation
  • Experience with scripting languages
  • Ability to problem solve end to end across a technology stack
  • Understanding of Agile practices and experience working in an agile environment
