Platform Designer
About the role
A large national organisation based in the CBD is looking for a Platform Designer with ServiceNow IT Service Management & IT Operations Management suite of applications to join their large Architecture practice for an initial six-month contract. In this role you will be responsible for providing engineering level designs and artifacts and accountable for providing SME level guidance and expertise across and assigned Technology Programs & Projects
The successful candidate must have
- Experience with ServiceNow IT Service Management & IT Operations Management suite of applications
- Working Knowledge & Implementation experience on Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, Cloud Management, CMDB, Service Portal, Web Services/API's, client and server-side JavaScript, UI Actions, Scheduled Jobs, workflows
- Performs implementations of ServiceNow solutions for clients, including development of solution designs, implementation plans and documentation
- Lead all technical aspects of project delivery and solution delivery including application UI configuration, workflow configuration, development of required client specific reporting, development of requirement integration components (SSO, LDAP, etc.)
- Experience in building third party integrations leveraging APIs and other mechanisms to meet requirements
- Experience in building of custom applications on the servicenow platform
- Excellent technical knowledge of all ServiceNow modules
- Experienced in the following technologies: ADFS, SAML v2.0, POP3, SMTP, LDAP Knowledge of scripting, Interface with ServiceNow technical teams to successfully set up the SaaS platform
- Working Knowledge of Middleware, database, networks & hosting
- Experience working within a large enterprise environment
- Develop solutions and prepare estimates in ServiceNow
- Provide input into final decisions regarding hardware, network products, system software and security
- Prepare capability presentations and Proof of Concept
- Experience in the solution architecture and design life-cycle, including high-level estimation and business case development
- Experience working on successfully executed projects (varying scope, complexity and challenge)
- Experience leading small teams of SMEs or designers
- Good cross-domain skills in server, storage, network and desktop technology

- ITIL Certifications - Foundation
- Tertiary Qualification in a relevant subject
- Previous experience supporting Financial applications will be an advantage in this role
