About the Company
Our client, a WA industry leader is looking for a Server & Systems Team Lead to lead their existing team of high performing Systems engineers. This a great opportunity to work in a team lead capacity under the direction of an Operations Manager, while remaining hands on with a Windows technology stack, across areas including Storage, VMware, Servers and Networks.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead and coordinate a team of infrastructure engineers
- Configure & install various devices & applications (e.g.: servers, storage, applications)
- Schedule server, storage, application, device maintenance & system upgrades
- Assist with the implementation of compute environment monitoring tools including PRTG & MS System Centre
- Provide afterhours on call support on a rostered basis
- Assist and undertake in the development of the Release to Production (RtP) processes
- Server operational monitoring activities including event and alert triage, response and resolution in accordance with client Service Levels
Required skills:
- Provide Systems Engineering expertise to enterprise clients as required
- Windows Server operations (preferably Microsoft Windows Server 2012 - 2016)
- Microsoft Active Directory - support and administration
- VMWare virtualisation - support and administration
- Storage and Backup knowledge - Nutanix, Dell EMC
- Exchange Online and On-Premise - support and administration
- Basic networking knowledge and understanding
- Azure experience with Security and/or Automation experience (desirable)
- Experience scripting/automating routine tasks and deployments
- Experience working in large, complex environment, leading small to medium technical teams
- Excellent documentation and report writing skills
- Proactive self-starter and an excellent team player
