About the Team
The Department is seeking an experienced, motivated, and highly capable Server Engineer to assist both the Cyber Security and Infrastructure Teams to deliver tasks relating to the Essential Eight implementation on behalf of the CIO Group. This contractor will be required to work within the Digital Strategy and Cyber Security Branch.
About the Role
The role will contribute towards delivery of key objectives of the Group and the department including the Cyber Uplift program of work. While it is anticipated the role will be engaged to deliver projects within ICT security the expectation is that with the relevant skill set, Portfolio Management may afford the opportunity to work across other priority work within the CIO Group.
You will have
- Detailed Windows Server understanding and experience including Active Directory, DNS, PKI, ADFS, File, Print and GPO
- Demonstrated experience with systems monitoring and patching in Microsoft System Center products (SCOM, SCCM/MECM)
- Demonstrated experience with Cyber Security tools and methodologies including application whitelisting, host-based firewalls, vulnerability scanners and device control
- Understanding of Australian Government Cyber Security requirements, processes and artefacts including ISM, Essential 8 and ACSC hardening guides
