Our client is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer for a permanent position based in North Sydney.
The Senior Systems Engineer will:
- Provide technical leadership and develop standards and reference architectures
- Work with project managers to deliver network and infrastructure projects
- Provide presales assistance including solution design, scoping, proposals and client presentations
- Provide technical advisory to customers and sales staff
- Guide and mentor more junior staff members
- Operate within PMO structure and processes
The position requires the following skills & knowledge:
- Extensive experience in design and implementation in some or all of the following;
- Microsoft Azure and Office 365
- Microsoft Operating Systems, Application Servers and Active Directory
- VMware vSphere
- Datacenter technologies including network, storage and compute layers
- Networking solutions including Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto and F5
- Enterprise Server platforms (Cisco UCS, HP, DELL, IBM)
- SAN Storage Solutions (Pure, NetApp)
- Citrix XenApp
- Ability to provide architectural recommendations and oversight of enterprise infrastructure environments
- Financial services industry experience
The following qualifications and experience are Mandatory:
- 7+ years' experience delivering IT infrastructure projects across mid-market and enterprise environments
- Experience dealing with customers and end users at all levels
- Strong Cisco and/or Juniper routing, switching and WLAN knowledge and experience
- Azure and O365 experience
- Strong Wintel and Active Directory knowledge and experience
- VMware vSphere skills
- Excellent troubleshooting and remediation skills
- MSP or Systems Integrator background
