Our Federal Government Client is seeking a Senior System Analyst.
This is a long-term contract up to 30 June 2023 with 1x24-month extension option, located at our Client's Canberra location.
As the selected candidate, you will deliver a range of technical services:
- translation of complex business requirements into effective systems solutions in line with system architecture,
- participation and consulation on systems design and analysis sessions,
- authoring of complex user specification,
- analysis of production problems and test defects and preparation of resolution,
- provision of detailed advice to management and executive on system functions, issues and risks,
- mentoring and coaching more junior staff in the delivery of their work,
- contributing to systems costings for proposed work, and
- participation in peer reviews.
To be successful in this role you should have:
- 10+ years' experience working in ICT in a complex ICT environment, preferably with Model 204.
- Experience in providing guideance and support regarding ICT changes and issues at a high level.
- Experience in working in large government environments.
It is desirable if you have:
- Recent experience working in a complex ICT environment in Government or large organisation, preferably with Model 204.
- Demonstrated ability to perform high level analysis and intrepretation of business requirements, draw accurate conclussions and develop system solutions.
- Demonstrated understanding of the software development life cycle.
- Proven ability to liase and negotiate with stakeholders, to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery of projects.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to adapt to the audience.
- Knowledge of Agile and waterfall development methodology.
- Experience in working with Senior Executive Staff.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian who have the ability to obtain Federal Government Security Clearances.
