Large financial client based in the Sydney CBD are looking for a Senior Solutions Designer with 5 years of development experience in API development in .NET/Node JS or a similar language

Key Skills

  • At least 5 years of development experience in API development in .NET/Node JS or a similar language.
  • Good understanding of REST API concepts.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Good understanding of financial/banking business concepts.
  • Knowledge on Open API specifications 3.0, Postman, PlantUML, .NET., AWS, Swagger, SQL
  • Added benefit knowledge on Kafka, NodeJS, SAP Banking
  • Exposure to Agile principles.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the detailed integration solution and delivery of solution design specifications required for building integration components such as REST APIs and Kafka Stream processors, Connectors and SOAP Services.
  • Fine tune integration design solutions by giving consideration to network, capacity, performance and scalability factors.
  • Perform impact assessments for proposed changes requested for reusable integration components.
  • Identify non-functional requirements. i.e retention, archive, recoverability, criticality, performance.
  • Support engineers and testers to be able to implements and test integration components aligned with the specifications produced.
  • Provide estimates for integrations components which are part of the overall solution designs of projects.
  • Be the subject matter expert for all aspect of the integration solutions. Solution Architects, Technical Business Analyst, Engineers, Project Managers and fellow designers should be able to rely on your technical competency with regard to the systems integration solution.
  • Identification of business functionality that can be exposed as APIs for re-use across multiple programs.
