Our client is an industry-leading retail group that is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join on a 6 months contract basis.
About the role:
This position will be responsible for providing daily business support as well as perform critical development of applications, frameworks, and services to support the team's R&D activities.
For this role, you will need strong experience in the following:
Software architecture and design, using OO principles
Experience writing Python code
Experience working within a Linux environment
Experience working with cloud-based solutions. Azure experience would be beneficial
Experience with container based solution and kubernetes
Experience with high performance event streaming and message broker based communications. Kafka experience beneficial
Primary candidates will be flexible, adaptable and comfortable learning new tech stacks, frameworks and languages.
