Job Description
Large government department requires several Senior Project Officers for an Instructional Design project. Within these roles you will have the opportunity to thrive in a fast-paced and innovative team environment, with projects and activities designed to support the department.
You will be involved in:
- Co-designing and implementing strategy, frameworks, learning approaches and to support priority cohorts in our workforce
- Co-designing and instructionally designing and developing learning products and services
- Designing and facilitating face-to-face / virtual group processes or learning events
- Creating engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer
- Working with subject matter experts and identify target audience's training needs
- Stating instructional end goals and creating content that matches them
- Visualising instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product
- Conducting instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts
- Applying tested instructional design theories, practice and methods
- Providing exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
- Creating supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc)
- Deciding on the criteria used to judge learner's performance and develop assessment instruments
- Maintain project documentation and course folders
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- demonstrated capability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and formulate succinct project and initiative plans
- demonstrated capability to design and facilitate face-to-face / virtual group processes and learning events
- demonstrated capability to prepare submissions, briefs, reports and correspondence
- working knowledge, or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge of the sector and challenges currently impacting the department's workforce
- ability to provide contextual leadership, direction and advice within the team environment
- excellent problem solving and issue resolution skills
- excellent interpersonal, consultation and other communication skills
- positive and proactive attitude
