Our client is a leading Telecommunications company operating in Australia and abroad. The position available is for Senior Project Manager to run a series of projects and teams in application development. The role involves delivering on requirements from internal stakeholders within the business to an agreed timeline.
The project:
- Projects involve app development for the telco's Marketing, Sales and Customer domains
- Delivering portal and integration related projects
- Could be one >$3m dollar project or several smaller projects
- Deliver large complex software projects in particular with portal, mobile, billing integration
- Delivering applicatuion deveklopment projects for the telco's consumer market
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Deliver assigned project to the agreed budget, schedule, scope, quality, risk and benefits profile
- Working with matrix and cross functional teams
- Financial management
- Stakeholder management
- Lead a cross functional team including architects, systems analysts, developers, testrs, build sand release as well as engineer.
Skills expertise:
- Extensive Project Management experience - Waterfall / Agile
- Worked at a large organisation on large software projects
- Can exhibit evidence of directly influencing and managing program business "outcome" rather than purely managing the program "process"
- A project management certification
- Conceptual knowledge of SOA architecture
- Strong financial management skills
- Experience managing small to medium cross functional teams to deliver projects
- Experience running complex projects in dynamic environments ($2m +)
- Knowledge in vendor and contract management essential
- Experience in managing offshore delivery teams and onshore matrix teams highly advantageous
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills
- Proven ability to deliver projects within large programs/portfolios of work
