Our client is looking for a Project Manager (Strategy and Architecture) to join its IT team on a contract basis. Working closely with business and technical stakeholders you will be responsible for understanding and validating business drivers of strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Develop a project management plan in collaboration with the strategic vendor including project timelines, milestones, resource needs using appropriate project management tools to deliver effective results
  • Preparing, planning and execution of strategic workshops with relevant stakeholders across the organisation
  • Manage the project financials, including budgeting, monitoring and controlling of costs, monthly capital forecasting, tracking and payment of vendor invoices
  • Develop and maintain the project schedule to identify the duration of the project, dependencies, key milestones and deliverables and critical paths to ensure an effective and timely project delivery
  • Manage all processes involved in budgeting, monitoring and controlling of costs in accordance with financial management guidelines
  • Support and lead project governance and prioritisation activities, as necessary
  • Provide accurate and concise reporting to business and project stakeholders
  • Ensure that the project is delivered to meet business objectives and expectations within the approved funding provided

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Tertiary level qualification in business or an IT related discipline; or related industry qualification
  • Experience managing ICT projects in the Strategy domain
  • Ability to engage, motivate and lead resources
  • Good stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Proactive and dynamic personality
