Our client is seeking an experienced and Senior Network Engineer to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate is responsible for the design, delivery, support, maintenance, administration and incident resolution for the organisation including routing and switching, wireless, voice, security, internet and wide area network, and other network related services.
The role:
- Plan, implement, configure and oversee the networks and ensure the delivery of a stable, efficient and effective Network Services
- Provide Second Level Support
- Identify and resolve incidents including hardware, software and other technical problems
- Apply and share deep knowledge of technologies and industry trends with a particular focus on Network Voice, Data, Cloud, Security, Wireless
- Support the devices, productivity applications and office technologies
- Work with other Technology Teams to proactively research and locate necessary tools and processes to identify troublesome trends as they develop
- Maintain vendor relationships
- Provide training and mentor to existing staff and technical advice and expertise to management and peers
The candidate:
- MUST have solid hands-on experience in LAN/WAN and CISCO products (CISCO Switches, CISCO firewalls and CISCO WASS)
- MUST HAVE solid datacentre experience (NEXUS, SDWAN)
- Advanced administration skills in call centre and telephony technology
- Strong analytical, problem-determination, and problem-solving skills within the communications infrastructure
- Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology landscape
- Proven ability to work under pressure in technical emergency situations
Skills required:
- Nexus
- Cisco ASA firewalling
- Cisco WLC / ICE wireless infrastructure
- Cisco routing and switching (incl Nexus)
- Meraki SDWan
- General networking, proxy, internet security, exposure to Cisco voice, QoS, Azure express routing and networking
