Our client, a global consulting firm, is looking for a Senior Manager or Associate Director for their Risk and Compliance practice.

In this role, you will help large corporates with issues around compliance, process improvement and risk management and mitigation.

We are looking for a candidate who can take the lead on client engagement and grow the risk and compliance practice. You will manage a team of consultants and ensure client satisfaction through project execution. You will ensure staff development objectives are met and mentor those around you.

You will develop and deliver risk and compliance service offerings across corporate governance, enterprise risk management, operational risk, credit risk, market risk and regulatory compliance. You will also drive business development and branding initiatives as well as building and developing relationships with senior decision makers and influencers.

We are looking for candidates with prior experience in operational risk management, credit risk management (consumer or commercial), market risk, quantitative risk management and/or economic capital as well as experience within the corporate or financial services sectors. You should also have proven business development and client relationship skills as well as a track record of project and people management. You should have broad experience in the GRC space as well as some familiarity with Australian standards and regulations. You should have designed and implemented risk management frameworks and worked across all aspects of governance.

Ideally, you will also have:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant quantitative discipline (e.g. Accounting/Finance, other business-related fields, or engineering/physical sciences) required.
  • Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. chartered accountant, risk management qualification)
  • 8+ years in a related field, preferably in professional services firm, corporate risk function or financial services organisation.
  • "Big 4" or other leading consulting experience preferred
