Responsibilities:
- Execute safety responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities
- Contribute to the development of engineering standards, policies, procedures and instructions
- Provide support to the field staff during construction
- Develop, produce, review and accept relevant electrical engineering designs and associated documentation
- Contribute to team success by following project plans and scheduled works for relevant electrical engineering projects
- Provide technical guidance to the design team, in the production of accurate electrical design drawings
- Implement standards, policies and procedures to support an efficient, streamlined, consistent
- Implement Quality Control procedures as they apply to design and service delivery, including the review, verification, and validation of design deliverables
- Experience in a relevant engineering discipline
- Demonstrated experience in high level problem solving relating to electrical substations, and distribution infrastructure, and associated materials
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in electrical engineering or equivalent experience giving entitlement to the Membership of the Institution of Engineers Australia.
- Demonstrated understanding of design and planning of energy transmission systems
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant codes of practice, standards, policy, procedures and guidelines relating to electrical substations and distribution infrastructure
- Experience in a relevant engineering discipline within a public or private sector
- Demonstrated experience in high level problem solving relating to electrical substations, and distribution infrastructure
- Demonstrated experience in planning, design and construction of energy transmission/distribution systems
- Demonstrated experience in developing design tools for electrical substations and distribution infrastructure
