We're hiring for a start-up growing due to increased usage of their platform since Covid 19. As they upscale their business, which has tripled in the last few months and will continue to increase hourly, daily, weekly as more and more people use this platform. They need to attract a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer.
As the Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be working with our client's operations and engineering teams to provide them with needed infrastructure and deployment automation and help with technical issues as they arise. You take co-ownership of the full AWS Infrastructure and ensure the Platform is following the best practice framework. Excellent operational uptimes, security, automate everything and cost optimisation is the day to day focus of your work.
You will be fluent with Cloudformation and various DevOps tooling (they use BitBucket, BuildKite, DataDog, ThreadStack and others). For our client, security is a priority therefore you must be confident managing large scale multi-account setups in AWS with secure frameworks to ensure compliance. Being the first contact for Infrastructure issues, you will be helping with debugging of network and database issues, provide insights into infrastructure elements with Logs and metrics.
The successful candidate needs to meet the following criteria:
You'll have a solid background in AWS, Linux and Infrastructure as code. You also have experience in Monitoring and Logging solutions, CI/CD Pipelines and can work in an agile approach using JIRA, document in Confluence and works in branch oriented git code repository structures.
Your will be able to work with our internal Engineering team to find best solutions for first-class software in a secure, autoscaling and auto-healing way. You'll be a first technical contact for all infrastructure related alarms and issues. Database knowledge (Postgres) is beneficial.
