A Leading IT Company is in need of an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with experience in AWS and tools such as Ansible, Chef and Puppet. This is for a long-term project with work from home options
About the role
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with delivery teams developing software to build and operate our cloud-based platforms.
The DevOps engineer will build and maintain software that enables iterative and incremental delivery of new product features; delivering value to our customers; enforces security polices and architecture best practices and enables delivery team members to be self sufficient
The role requires a passion for automation, optimization as well as being comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Implement automated continuous delivery pipelines for software artefacts and platforms.
- Provide and maintain frameworks for automated functional and non-functional testing.
- Define and enforce service level objectives for delivered solutions.
- Maintain and continuously improve architectural excellence by ensuring solutions adhere to the DevOps Practice groups' architecture principles and long term strategy.
- Provide automated policy enforcement for solution components.
Skills and experience
- Minimum 5 years experience in DevOps
- With Linux/Unix system administration experience
- Software or Systems Engineering experience within telecommunication or Online domain
- Experience with software defined infrastructure orchestration tools
- Experience with configuration management tools - Puppet, Chef or Ansible
- In depth experience with Amazon Web Services (VPC, EC2, Route53, S3, CloudFormation, APIs and SDKs)
- AWS Architecture or Operations Certification is advantageous
- Proficient use of distributed version control systems
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools
