About the Role
As Senior Cloud Engineer/Cloud SME you will be responsible for the design, build and migration of their cloud environment. This includes the setting up of computing foundations, shared services, server, storage, database and associated management systems.
Responsibilities
- Cloud infrastructure solution builds
- Build and maintain cloud service catalogues
- Cloud Migrations
- Set up of computing foundations, shared services, server, storage, database and associated management systems
- Upgrade and improve cloud solutions, service migrations to public clouds as well as service performance that rely on the cloud structure
- Develop, maintain and apply the best industry, security and vendors' standards through design, consultancy or controls
- Solution design, evaluation and governance, assuring alignment to business product and service
- Deliver fully automated solution
- Deliver complex Cloud Services Templates as well as provide consultancy to other teams
- Promote all benefits of cloud computing and pass knowledge transfer to other internal teams
Experience
- Previous experience as a Senior Cloud Engineer/ Cloud Consultant / Cloud Architect etc
- 5-10 years' experience in architecting and operating complex Tools, Automation & Management Systems
- Proven experience in Amazon Web Services architecting and build automation
- Experience in Azure Cloud Services architecting and build automation
- Must have experience in developing and customising complex software
- Must have hands-on experience in scripting and automation of repeatable tasks
- Proven experience with AWS Cloud Formation & Ansible
- Proven experience with Python, Chef, Go, Jenkins, Puppet, Ruby or Shell Scripting
- Experience in Agile project methodology
- Has past success in deploying world-class, on-premise infrastructure technology based on virtualisation which is known for their reliability and excellence in customer service
- Minimum 5 years exposure to full IT service lifecycle
- Experience working in an outsourced/insourced environment
- Experience in large project implementation and delivery
