To effectively support the Agency, the Investment Technology function requires a Senior Business Analyst who will play a key role in delivering a critical project for our Listed Equities Investment Team to enhance their portfolio management capabilities.
Key Tasks | Responsibilities |
Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering | · Collaborate with Technology, Equities and Investment Data specialists to workshop and document requirements to ensure full alignment and traceability across the project· Work closely with other technology experts to translate business requirements into comprehensive technical requirements, leveraging knowledge of system capabilities, business rules, and architecture.· Assist the project manager to manage the end to end delivery of the project· Work with the designated product owner to maintain backlog, prioritise user stories for the release and sprint cycle· Facilitate process re-design workshops to identify risks, improvement opportunities in current state processes· Assist the Business Analysis Manager to understand the complexity and priority of requirements by estimated efforts of work.· Assist in the tracking of project activities and in the resolution of requirement and data issues.· Assist Testers and Business Stakeholders in the successful execution of testing activities, for example User Acceptance Testing. |
Subject Matter Expertise & Advisory | · Experience with Listed Equities Risk Management systems such as MSCI Barra, Axioma, Northfields or similar;· Strong background in investment management concepts, systems and data structures, for example: Book of Records management, Portfolio monitoring, Security Mastering, Performance Returns calculations.· Provide subject matter expertise to relevant stakeholders with respect to the current state of the Listed Equities platforms including systems capabilities, business rules, data repositories and data assets.· Maintain a strong knowledge of Investment Data & Analytics products and services in the market.· Assist in the resolution of LE Equities Project related production incidents.· Build deep expertise on the data relevant to the Listed Equities portfolio and champion this through the project. |
Skills and Competencies | |
Qualifications | · Have a solid understanding of financial services organisations preferably with an Investment fundamentals qualification · A current Business Analysis certification is desirable e.g. CBAP. · Qualification(s) in related fields such, for example: Data Engineering, Dev Ops, and Automation Testing |
Experience | · Experience delivering data & analytics solutions in financial services specifically Listed Equities space, with a demonstrated understanding of core investment concepts · Significant experience in agile delivery capacity predominantly in business analysis, requirements gathering and integration related roles. · Demonstrated strong experience with modern data cloud, ETL, integration technologies e.g. APIs, Data Orchestrators, SQL, AWS, Databricks · Strong project management, ability to successfully manage multiple tasks at any given point, strong relationship building skills & communication skills · Data analysis - Must have strong Data warehousing experience on complex datasets e.g. Fund structures, Books of Records, Change Data Capture. · Experience using the Atlassian stack, particularly JIRA and Confluence is desirable |
